The work brings together the animal’s physical strength and the elegance and spirit that make horses so compelling.

For thousands of years, horses have held a remarkable place in human history and art. From the celebrated horses of antiquity to the great thoroughbreds of modern racing, individual animals have been remembered for their courage, beauty and extraordinary achievements. Equestrian sculpture offers a way of preserving not only their likeness, but their presence.

The Queen of Sheba draws on this tradition while expressing Stephanie’s fascination with the horse as a living, individual character. Carefully modelled form, balance and movement give the sculpture its energy, while the textured resin and mica surface brings depth and luminosity.

For Stephanie, immortalising a horse means more than creating a photographic likeness. It is an opportunity to capture the personality, spirit and particular qualities that make that horse irreplaceable to its owner, creating an enduring work of art to pass from one generation to the next.

Commission an Equestrian Sculpture: Immortalise Your Horse

From intimate sculptural portraits to ambitious, monumental works, Stephanie Fuller welcomes commissions celebrating exceptional horses.
