Created during a visit to Steyning in West Sussex, this work is inspired by the ever changing drama of the English sky. Layers of watercolour and expressive acrylic marks capture the movement of clouds, shifting light and the sense of weather passing across the landscape.

Although abstract in form, the painting is rooted in observation and reflects my longstanding fascination with the atmosphere, light and emotional power of nature. The sweeping forms suggest clouds gathering and dispersing, inviting viewers to find their own horizons and memories within the painting.
