Stephanie Fuller is a British Australian sculptor and painter. Throughout her career she has also exhibited as Stephanie Burns and Stephanie McDonald. Since 1990 she has held more than twenty solo exhibitions and participated in over one hundred group exhibitions throughout Australia, the United Kingdom and internationally. Her work is represented in museum, public, corporate and private collections.
Professional Names
Throughout her career Stephanie has exhibited, published and signed works under three professional names.
Stephanie Burns – birth name.
Stephanie Fuller – from 1985 following her marriage to the art critic Peter Fuller, and again from 2019.
Stephanie McDonald – following her marriage to the art critic John McDonald.
Stephanie resumed exhibiting as Stephanie Burns several years before her divorce from John McDonald, believing that exhibiting under the surname of a prominent art critic could influence perceptions of her work. Works, exhibition catalogues, publications and signatures may therefore appear under Stephanie Burns, Stephanie Fuller or Stephanie McDonald.
