£45 per person | 90 minutes | Deal, Kent
Discover the extraordinary power of colour in a professional artist’s studio
Gather your friends or family for a unique creative experience inspired by the remarkable colour field paintings of Mark Rothko.
Join internationally exhibited British Australian artist Stephanie Fuller in her working studio in Deal, Kent, for an exploration of colour, atmosphere and artistic expression.
With over 30 years of professional experience as a painter and sculptor, Stephanie will guide your group through the fascinating relationships between colour, light, proportion and emotion.
Create your own Rothko inspired artwork
Working on beautiful quality art papers, you will experiment with the rich pigments of professional Rembrandt and Sennelier soft pastels, blending and layering colours to create luminous, atmospheric compositions.
A particularly special element of this experience is the use of real chalk from the White Cliffs of Dover, connecting your artwork to the natural landscape of the Kent coast.
Stephanie will demonstrate techniques for building colour, creating soft edges and achieving the subtle transitions that give Rothko’s paintings their extraordinary sense of depth and light.
Each participant will create their own original artwork to take home.
