Working on these Art Postcards during Lockdown has been invigorating. I start with a walk or cycle and then come home and paint from memory. No photos or visual aides. Artist In Isolation As we move forward in this new world of closed galleries and cancelled exhibitions the online world of galleries is moving forward at a speed. This painting has been influenced by two men, Alex Coppel and Ben Lawson. a photographer and a poet/actor. But the main influence is of course the fires in Australia this season and the lengths people had to go to to keep safe. One of the most heartening aspects was the fact that people took their animals with them.
